Red Man_Color Test

Here is a color test that I did simply trying to improve upon my skills. The first is trying to go for a free form, but I still don't know what to think of it. The second gos back to my roots of the lines. I'm trying to decide which would be best to use.

The Watchmen is one of the best celebrated graphic novels of all time. Along with that it is being turned into a movie. One of my favorite characters is the first killed off in the entire comic, The Comedian. I came up with an idea to re-draw the character for a more 08 version. In the top picture you have the way the character was presented in the 1982 version along with his 09 movie counter part. After that is my concept for the present day version along with better pic I drew of him simply named "Pin", I bet you can get it. Also tattoos are obviously in replace of the gaudy super hero shoulder pads for a more sleek merc look. As well as the most loved tattoo I have seen, FOR THE PAST YEAR, "Laugh Now Cry Late". I think the words express The Comedian better than any character before. Oh and last but not least my little effort at some mixed writing tattooing. His forearm tattoo is in fact the words Life and Joke put into one word.

Paintings and Charcoal

These are all pieces that are old from when I was in high school. Still they are some of my few charcoal and painted pieces. The first is a little Wizard of Oz action taken in a anime form. The second is a project I had to do for my final for senior year of high school. The project was only 2ft by 2ft and I did it 4ft by 5ft. The last piece is one that means a lot to me. It is a painting dedicated to my brother who passed away. It is also my first painting.

The idea came from two words that I had created the idea for and the class chose, which was jungle and split. So here in the image you see me and myself. I was thinking about how you see crocodiles or hippos and how they leave there mouths open and birds or other animals sometimes just go in. So yeah thats the premise here it is..TADAAA...
